Description:

Original project plans were for 150MW of solar, ~150MW of wind, up to 50MW hydrogen plant, plus up to 400MWh of battery storage. Number of turbines halved after community input. A $4mil grant and $20mil loan awarded to support construction of the project, which is subject to development approvals. The Hydrogen Superhub will be the largest co-located wind, solar and hydrogen production facility in the world. The facility is projected to produce up to 20,000kg of hydrogen per day with renewable hydrogen product offtake arrangements to be finalised during the planning phase. It will create about 260 jobs during planning and construction and about 40 ongoing positions.
