Description:

First stage of the wind component of the Walcha Energy Project, comprised of wind (total 3400 MW) and solar energy generation (Salisbury Solar Farm) with pumped hydro storage and other storage options to provide up to 4000 MW of new clean generation. Major substation at Uralla to be developed as a renewable energy hub. Overall project to be completed in stages with construction of phase 1 expected to commence in 2020, supplying energy to NSW consumers in 2022. MirusWind & Energy Estate are shareholders in developer Walcha Energy.
