One Global Logistics expanding to meet solar farm demand
Published Date : 2023-August-14, Monday
Brisbane-headquartered, international freight company One
Global Logistics (OGL) was recently awarded two new solar farm projects in New
South Wales.
OGL will handle ocean shipping management from offshore,
customs clearance, container unloading, warehouse / materials management and
transportation into the site for both the 5 MW Werris Creek Solar Farm in NSW
for Yes Group and Australian Food & Fibre’s 5 MW solar farm project at
Moree also in NSW.
The two new projects build on an impressive caseload of successfully
completed solar farm projects across Australia’s east coast, which in the
2022/23 FY saw OGL deliver 16 solar projects representing 1.6 GW capacity across
five states.
These projects were for major contractors and suppliers
within the renewable energy industry, and ranged from a number of 5 MW solar
farms to Lightsource bp’s 340 MW AC Wellington North Solar Farm in NSW, where
OGL arranged delivery of the solar panels.
OGL also arranged delivery of the battery and racking,
including Ocean Freight Dangerous Goods Cargo, for the 5 MW / 7.5 MWh Longwarry
Battery Energy Storage System in Victoria for EPC contractor Gransolar.
To help service its growing solar farm logistics
business capability, OGL expanded its office network with the purchase of a new
office in the Brisbane CBD to house its Project Logistics Team specialising in solar,
renewables and construction related projects. OGL also expanded its new joint
venture warehouse and transport co-operation with MTAW Logistics in Brisbane.
OGL also has operations in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney,
Adelaide and Toowoomba.
