Megawatt Package

The premium Megawatt Package provides full access to AltEnergy’s massive and ever-growing project database.

Thanks to our collaboration with energy data experts Rosetta Analytics who provide the latest in cloud-based technology, we are able to provide Megawatt users with an incredible array of data-rich information presented through our easy-to-use online map and database which contains all utility-scale renewable energy projects across Australia and New Zealand.

We track Wind (onshore and offshore), Solar PV, Battery, Hydro, Pumped Hydro, Solar Thermal, Bioenergy, Geothermal, Hybrid, Waste-to-Energy, Marine, and Green Hydrogen technologies using both public domain and proprietary sources.

The interactive map shows Generating projects in green and In Development (Proposed, Approved, FID/Under Construction or Commissioning/Grid Connection) projects in yellow.

The search function enables subscribers to filter out Generating from In Development projects, and search by Project Name, Technology, Developer/Owner, Status (Proposed, Approved, FID/Under Construction, Commissioning/Grid Connection or Cancelled), State, Location, REZ/Zone, Off-grid/Behind-the-Meter, Capacity Range and Recent Updates.

Rosetta Analytics also provides AltEnergy with a number of powerful tools and map layers showing features such as project boundaries, wind speed, solar irradiation, transmission networks, REZ Zones, local government areas & postcode boundaries, land title/cadastre information and generation information.

Data sheets contain each project’s main features such as the relevant Technology, Capacity, Storage Capacity (if relevant), Owner/Developer, Status (Proposed, Approved, FID/Under Construction, Commissioning/Grid Connection or Cancelled), Expected Cost, State (including NZ), Location, REZ/Region, Operational Date and DUID.

Generation Data

Links to AEMO’s near-live Market Management System generation data for operational projects with a DUID are provided by Rosetta Analytics.

Added to this basic information are:
• project Contacts
• a project Description
• a project timeline in the form of Updates allowing you to follow its progress from conception to construction to commissioning
• the EPC/Lead Contractor, Turbine Supply, Panel Supply and Battery Supply companies as relevant, as well as other major contractors
• Date of Last Edit

Renewables Radar

Megawatt subscribers also have access to a suite of powerful graphics and charts generated from AltEnergy’s Project Database, powered by Rosetta Analytics.

Up-to-date information from our comprehensive database is generated “live” and presented in informative and visually attractive graphics and charts. Examples include:

• - The total capacity of In Development and Generating projects by state
• - The total number of In Development and Generating projects by technology (eg. solar PV or wind)
• - EPC work in Australia rated by capacity
• - Pipeline of In Development projects rated by owner/developer
• - Capacity of Generating projects by owner
• - Capacity of major component supply contracts such as solar panels and wind turbines
• - Capacity of EPC/lead contractor assignments

But using the magic supplied by Rosetta Analytics there are countless permutations and inputs are, more or less, restricted only by the user’s imagination.

This information allows the user to make meaningful and clear insights about the market. Generated files can be downloaded and saved and printed as PDF files.

AltEnergy Archive Search

AltEnergy has been collecting detailed information about the renewable energy industry in Australia and New Zealand since 2017. Megawatt subscribers can access all this data, including all back copies of AltEnergy’s weekly Watts News report, official company and government news releases and presentations, proprietary information gained by AltEnergy, development and environmental approval reports, and town planning reports.

Enter a search term to see a list of results from where the source PDF file can be previewed and downloaded. Search term results are highlighted in the preview. This powerful tool, designed by Rosetta Analytics, enables users to find all the background about a particular project as it developed, search for a company or individual to track their recent history, track policy changes, just as a few examples of the wealth of industry information available.
