Rapid federal all clear for Robertstown BESS

The
EPBC Act referral for Revera Energy's Robertstown Battery Energy Storage
project has been decided favourably by the federal DCCEEW only 1 month after
public comment was sought.
Robertstown BESS is a proposed 500 MW / 2000 MWh battery, located in the Mid
North region of South Australia, to be built in two equal stages individually
financed and contracted.
Under the guidance of previous developer Amp Energy the project was approved in
2018 as a plus-630 MW DC solar farm, with consequent variations allowing an
increase in the BESS to 500 MW / 1000 MWh.
An extension of time for Substantial Commencement was granted late last year.
